  Cottonwood Urban Farm

What we grow

Over the years we have grown everything from artichokes to zinnias. Seasonal fruit and vegetables is where we started. As of late we are focussed on our partnership with LA Compost and farming eggs from our flock of ducks. We also keep bees mainly for polination but harvest honey a few times each year. We sell the eggs every Sunday at the Pacific Palisades farmer's market alongside the wonderful seasonal organic produce from Frecker Farms (you can also catch them at Brentwood and Calabasas farmer's markets).
We have currently about 40 ducks in our flock. They free range on 1.3 acres of land, eating fallen fruit in the orchard, bugs in the mulch, and any leafy green they can get their mouths on. We encourage them to forage as much as possible and supplement their diet with oyster shell and a wild game bird grain feed from our favorite local tack and feed store, East Valley Tack and Feed. No antibiotics or hormones. $15dozen and $8/half dozen
